Yard Haunting for the Home Haunter
For October 2001 my haunt included the front yard and was expanded down the driveway. You'll find some pics and in most cases How To instructions for building your own nightmare.

Fog Chiller

This project is a must have for all haunts! This is a device that creates ground hugging fog. I went low tech with very few steps to build. I simply cut two round holes in either end of my $1 garage purchased ice chest, placed chicken wire on the inside as a screen, filled it with just under 100 pounds of ice and pointed my fog machine into one of the holes.

Not an Itsy-Bitsy Spider

I decided I needed something menacing for my rooftop and instead wound up with this nifty hell spawn. Lots of pvc schedule 40 pipe [think lawn sprinkler] from your local hardware store, some chicken wire covered with some black material picked up at a thrift store and fashion some eyes from some sliced up ping pong balls. Each leg is a ten foot section of pvc pipe.
Cemetery Fence
Some of your trick-or-treaters [TOTs] will want to get as close as possible to your displays. I learned that my first year, so I built a cemetery fence at a low cost that's extremely light weight. The front yard was designated for the younger TOTs and was sprinkled with cute props and a bubble machine.

Back from the Y2Grave
I also brought back some of my props from the previous year some with minor adjustments and others with enhancements. Instructions for building a coffin, some tombstones and a severed puking head.

My Dixie Wrecked

Well? What can I say?
I go for the cheap immature jokes.
None of the kids get it - they shouldn't.
And, it's a blast when the occasional adult gets it!
The instructions for carving polyfoam and some other pieces I have done.

Da Twins - Los Cuates

You can either harass your friends and loved ones into helping you scare your TOTs or you can build your very own imaginary friends like I did. A wig head, chicken wire, pvc, a cheap costume and some kid's football shoulder pads.
